Ms. Dawne Rochelle Holley, 64, of Providence, RI, passed away on March 21, 2023, at Roger Williams Hospital. She was born May 2, 1957, in Providence, RI. She is the late daughter of Cisco Holley and the daughter of Dorothy Ann Wilson. She is also the late granddaughter of Coralena (Rose) Williams and the late grandmother of Marcell Rather. Dawne travelled throughout her life as a military child and throughout her adult life as well. Traveling around the world, discovering new places, and being active is what she loved to do. Dawne also loved to sew; her closet will tell it all.

Dawne attended Central High School, CCRI for Business, but finished her education at OIC Business School. Dawne worked for the Department of Human Services, the Department of Enforcement and finished her career at the Department of Agriculture for an outstanding 24 years. Dawne was the mother of Darinda Burgess of Virginia, Julius “Ran” Foster, Marquita Foster, and Layla Foster, her precious pup, of Providence, RI. She is survived by her brother Sean “Chan” Wilson of Seattle, WA, her Uncle Edward Williams of Dayton, Ohio, and her goddaughter Keisa Headly of Providence, RI. She leaves behind her 12 grandchildren, her sister-in-law Connie Wilson, and her nephew Justin Wilson. She leaves behind her companion Eugene Briggs, her best friend Bonnie McCormick, her son-in-law Fredrick Burgess and a host of family and friends that loved and adored her. Our Mother and Your Friend will truly be missed.

Relatives and Friends are invited to Calling Hours Wednesday, March 29th from 4pm-7pm in the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave. Lincoln . Burial Private.
